After a day of random PoT fangirling...

You know, I realized that Prince of Tennis has no real plot. The closest to plot is winning tournaments and having matches. No, PoT is about the characters.

But then I realized, isn't the premise of PoT about Ryoma growing as a tennis player or something like that? It's supposed to be all about Ryoma, the prince of tennis.

But it's not, it's about all the tennis players. It started out all about Ryoma and tennis for sure, until about after his match w/ Inui in the ranking tourney. Then the focus spread to the other Seigaku guys, then to the other teams and their players. Now, it's like the ..... Tennis Boy Show! o_o

I was going to type a big thing about Knives (from Trigun) that kept me awake last night and my opinion of him, but I'm too lazy to type up all the details.

So the gist of it all is this:
Knives is the absolute scariest anime villain I have ever encountered. He scares the bejeezus outta me. He makes me fear for my life. I do NOT want to be stuck in a room alone with him. Unlike other scary murderous villains (like Muraki *hugs*), I don't like Knives AT ALL. I am just plain frightened of him. Methinks his theme music has a part in it.

Because I am sad, I then went even further with Knives:
1. Despite having more or less the same goals, Knives is even scarier than Demona (from Gargoyles), at least for me.
a) For some reason, I don't fear Demona nearly as much. I figured it was because Knives is a Plant, so he has the Angel Arms thing and can twist you into a human pretzel by just touching you. Demona comes close though, when she's aiming a bazooka at your head.
b) Demona wants to get rid of us for revenge and she blames us as the cause of all her troubles, but there's a LOT of self-denial mixed in there too. So the basis of her hatred is somewhat faulty(?). Knives just HATES humans. He calls us "useless, resource-wasting trash". What's so frightening is that he's pretty much correct.


So yeah, me no get enough sleep.
