I thought it was interesting how they had Bella AK Sirius and then have the veil pull him in. It's a much more definite and clearer death than a vague spell and falling backwards.

Also, what with it being revealed Cho was given veritaserum and that was why she ratted the DA out, movie!Harry doesn't have a good reason to stay broken up with her.

lol I liked Sirius's "Nice one, James!" at the Ministry. That's really the only hint you get of all the negative things going on with Sirius.

random thought: Remus and Sirius make a good comedy duo. I mean, it's Sirius as the crazy idiot and Remus as the straightman. Which leads to me imagining Remus saying "Nandeyanen!?" and whapping Sirius (like Oshitari with Dabide hee). And it amuses me SO MUCH to imagine a Kansai-speaking Remus. You just wouldn't expect lil' quiet Remus talking with that accent, it'd be like Misaki or something. Then I think Sirius would of course, speak in standard Tokyo dialect and I'm sure sometimes, if he tried, he can even speak like Byakuya. James might not have quite the upbringing to produce that, but I'm sure he picks up from Sirius and they can go around talking like the pompous weirdos they are.
But this all leads to crazy Hogwarts-in-Japan!AU that may or may not involve Eriol or Watanuki and it's all just freakin' craziness.

Harry not getting expelled after using sectumsempra on Draco, which severely injured him, is a lot like Sirius not getting expelled after trying to murder Snape with a transformed Remus. Apparently, attempted murder doesn't count in the wizarding world.
Which then makes me think of Sideshow Bob's "Now, really, is there a Nobel prize for attempted chemistry!?"
