NaaaRRRGh, why is the Cowboy Bebop dub so gooooooood?!?! >_<
It sucks watching that after watching the Trigun dub!
All during Trigun (it was "Fifth Moon" btw), I kept thinking how Vash didn't sound funny enough, Meryl wasn't emoting enough, or Milly was too soft, etc. Wolfwood was pretty good, tho that might have been because he only had a few lines. ^^; Rai-dei and the others were okay (No! No brit accent for Legato!).
But then watching "Waltz for Venus", all the voices were so goooooooood!! ....well except for Stella. >_>
Argh, such good acting! Most of it was spot on and had the right tone! (jet will always sound strange tho) I read an interview with some of the cast and apparently they had more time than usual for dubs so they were able to fine tune scenes and get them right. >_> mrph.
Oh and who was the dub voice for Roco? He sounded reeaally familiar.
..maybe it's cuz of different voice directors. Make 'em do the lines over and over again till they get it right, dang it!! Grr!
random voice fun: Steven Jay Blum not only voiced Spike but also Yamaki, Kenta, and Guilmon(!) in Digimon Tamers, J.P. in Digimon Frontier, and Flamedramon in 02. ^_^ he's cool. You hear his voice everywhere. Including the luau manager in Lilo and Stitch?
Though when he's Spike, is it me or does it sound like everything he says is a pick-up line? ^^;
......um, he's not SpongeBob is he? @_@
I wonder if he played one of the Gennais... ^^ maybe the Hong Kong one. or maybe the original one?
Narrgfgh, and I've missed so much of Digimon Frontier! They've already gotten to Kouichi! (who's voiced by Crispin Freeman btw. that's a good thing, right?) Must somehow get up at 7:30 am! @_@
